Other Body Sculpting Procedures

Where the skin is loose, and reshaping is desired, skin can be removed from arms or legs. More minor changes can be made with incisions concealed in the skin folds of the groin, elbow etc. Major changes require incisions placed along the length of the thighs or upper arm.

Who is it for?

If you have very loose and flabby skin in these areas, liposuction will not correct the problem. Even where the problem is large enough to require scars along the limb, surgery is still often worthwhile, because the problem is so unattractive and the correction complete.

What to expect.

Depending on the area treated, you may require local or general anesthesia, and either day surgery or a hospital or a post surgical facility stay of one to three days.

Because the skin is pulled tight, movement of the limbs will be limited for one or two weeks after surgery. There is usually bruising of the skin for two weeks. On average, you will be off work for about two weeks.

Tightening loose, excess skin certainly helps create a more youthful image. Scars in visible areas, when present, are usually fine lines and can often be concealed with makeup.
