Body SculptingBody sculpting encompasses the group of procedures to alter the shape of arms, legs and body, excluding the breasts. Liposuction removes localized collections of excess fat, while other procedures such as thigh or arm lifts and abdominoplasty remove both excess fat and skin. Surgical body sculpting is not a solution to generalized obesity, which should be treated by diet and exercise. However many localized contour problems persist despite the patient's best efforts, and require surgical correction.
